Meet the Team

annaAnna, CDA

I love what I do and have fun doing it.

I have been a proud team member of Dr. Marcy’s since 1985. Since then dentistry and Oakridge mall have changed over the years. The one thing that has stayed the same is the quality of individual care we provide to our amazing patients. When I’m not with my dental family I spend time with my forerunner’s main street running family as a group leader helping people learn to run 5km and 10km. Healthy mouth healthy heart.

anitaAnita, Office Manager

I wanted to be able to help and care for people so I decided to give dentistry a chance. Being in the dental field I realized that dentistry was for me. I started out working at a pediatric dental office in 1996 and then I was hired by Dr. Marcy Schwartzman in 2000 and that made my life complete. I found the office that I was looking for. The enthusiasm and positive attitude help make this office a positive place to be in. The care and devotion we give to our patients make it the place I want to be forever. Coming to work every day with enthusiastic and caring co-workers, who all have the same goals and motivations as me towards preventative dentistry, makes me feel satisfied at the end of the day about my position as an Office Manager. 20 years later and I feel the same way!

Outside of my dental family, my husband and I have two daughters that fill our lives with joy and laughter. Having a big Indian family we are always busy doing family gatherings to family vacations all around the world.

Her passion for dentistry first started when she was volunteering at a women’s shelter, where she realized the importance of good dental health on a person’s overall health, well-being, and self-esteem. Carla’s interests include playing football, cooking, and taking care of her dog Chika.

Pam, RDH

Hello everyone! My name is Pam and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist at Dr. Schwartzman’s office. I was born and raised in Vancouver but recently moved to North Delta. I graduated with my diploma from Vancouver Community College in June 2017 and after lots of looking around at various offices, I joined this amazing office in August 2017. In May 2020, I completed my bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from UBC.
I not only enjoy meeting my patients and interacting with them. But, also appreciate having this role to educate and promote the importance of dental and oral health and how it is an essential part of our overall health and well-being. I have learned a lot in the last few years at this office and look forward to continuing to learn and grow as a dental hygienist.
Outside of the office, I love to travel, spend time with my family, including my 2 years old dog shepherd-husky dog! Finding new restaurants and places to relax with family and friends is always a lot of fun.

Joanne, RDH

I have been practicing dental hygiene since 2009. I graduated from Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo and worked at a family practice in Victoria for several years before deciding to deepen my knowledge in preventative health. I moved to Vancouver in 2015 to study holistic nutrition at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, and a couple of years later found Dr. Marcy’s progressive and warmly personalized office. I am now expanding my skills to bridge the gap between oral health and overall health with our office to offer nutritional consultations and wellness guidance.

When I am not in work mode, I like to enjoy what this beautiful life has to offer. I love to travel and do frequent road trips. I love nature, hiking, and camping. I love live entertainment, events, and performances. I love connecting with people and sharing a good laugh. I have a creative mind and am always finding new little projects to keep myself busy.

Natalie, RDH

Hi everyone, my name is Natalie. I have been working with Dr. Schwartzman’s team since August 2019, but I have been a patient of Dr. Schwartzman since I started having teeth! I completed my Bachelor of Dental Science in Dental Hygiene at the University of British Columbia’s 4-year dental hygiene degree program.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with various unique populations which include seniors in long-term care, children in elementary schools, individuals living with intellectual disabilities, adults living with mental illness, and individuals who have been incarcerated. My passion is to help others through not only their oral health but their overall health and well-being.

I am a Vancouverite through and through having attended elementary and secondary school in Vancouver and I still currently reside here. Some of my favorite things are spending time with family and friends, watching television shows like Big Brother and the Amazing Race, playing video games like Mario Kart or Animal Crossing, anything related to Disney and Pusheen the Cat, and enjoying the wonderful variety of foods in our city. My absolute favorite thing to do is travel. Although I haven’t done much traveling yet, I have been to places in the United States and overseas to Croatia. I hope to travel to many more places in the future.
